Oasis Poker
Oasis poker is a head-to-head poker game where the player is playing against the dealer only. It has an Ante bet, a Call bet, and a spot to pay the fee charged for drawing extra cards. The hand begins after a player has placed a bet on the Ante spot. Five cards are dealt to both the player and the dealer. One of the dealer's cards is turned face up, the other four remain face down. The player now has a couple of choices to make. They can return some or all of their cards in an attempt to improve their hand. A player discarding their cards and drawing new ones has a cost. The price is dependent on the original ante bet and the number of cards to be drawn. After cards are drawn or kept the player must decide if their hand is enough to beat the dealer's hand. If the player thinks they have the higher hand they must place a bet on the Call spot. This bet is double the Ante amount. If a player doesn't think they have the higher cards they can fold their hand. This forfeits the Ante bet. Once the bets are made or hands are folded the dealer reveals their cards. In order for the dealer's hand to challenge the player's it must "qualify". To qualify the dealer must be at least Ace high with a King. In case the dealer's hand doesn't qualify, the Ante bet is paid even money. If their hand does qualify the player must have a higher hand to get paid. The player's hand beating the dealer's hand pays both the Ante and Call bets. The Ante bet is paid even money. The Call bet is paid on a rising scale determined by exactly what hand the player has.
